Nike SB x Futura Laboratories Dunk Low
The creative vision continues to evolve and influence for Leonard McGurr (aka Futura)—one of New York City's original graffiti legends. With his distinct hand style at the centre, his work eschews labels or genres despite being known as one of graffiti's most infamous progenitors. From subway car fame to prestigious gallery exhibitions, Futura's pieces boldly reinterpret space through colour, linework and typography.The Dunk Low x Futura Laboratories shoe marks a return to Swoosh heritage, bringing graphic applications from his paintings to the Dunk's classic silhouette. Using a bleached canvas as the backdrop, it features colourful overlays, puff-print details, custom tongue labels and insole art, plus a translucent sole revealing his iconic signature. Finished with contrast stitching and coordinated two-toned laces, the Futura Dunk boasts the original SB Dunk Low construction calling back to his long-standing relationship with Nike SB.
