It’s time for another round of our kickflip shoe release challenge. If you've got what it takes and can keep a lid on it under pressure, then read on to find out how to enter.
About the shoe
Nike SB has partnered with San Francisco skate store Atlas on its latest quick-strike Dunk High collaboration. Atlas is a creative, independent skate store based in San Mateo in the Bay State.
The Nike SB x Atlas Dunk High "Lost at Sea" are inspired from a shipping accident known as "The Great Spill of 1990". A container ship travelling from Korea to America was caught in a strong storm, resulting in 21 shipping containers being lost at sea. Five of the containers contained 61,000 pairs of Nike kicks, including white and blue Air Flight '90s. These kicks eventually washed up on shore, in rather more muted shades. These salt-washed kicks influenced the colours and design of the Nike x Atlas Dunk High.
The colours include a muted blue that is featured across the Nike swooshes, liners, outsoles and ankle collars. The laces and midsoles are in a vintage pale yellow.
These Dunk Highs also feature distressed leather, a clever reference to the washed-ashore kicks.
We're releasing our Nike SB X Atlas High 'Lost at Sea' Dunk Highs exclusively via our kickflip challenge. See below for everything you need to know.
